FAQs

Copies of all your test results and your medical records are helpful for our gastroenterologists. We can use these to assess your overall health and identify other tests that your previous specialist should have performed.

Please bring a list of medications you are taking and all relevant information regarding any other health conditions.

One of our gastroenterologists will discuss your symptoms, test results, and any treatments you’ve already tried with you. They may perform a physical examination before recommending appropriate tests where necessary.

Your test results will help us determine what is causing your symptoms and whether your previous diagnosis was accurate. They also influence our treatment recommendations.

Please give us 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment, otherwise, you may not be eligible for a refund. This way we can offer your slot to another patient. We understand that emergencies happen; we aim to be flexible where possible.

You can see our specialists for a second opinion before continuing your care with your NHS or private gastroenterologist. However, you can also proceed with treatment at our clinic if you feel more comfortable with our specialists.

We recommend using trusted sites to gain information about your condition, as there is a lot of misinformation online. It is always best to double-check advice online with your doctor.

At Digestive Health UK, we believe in empowering our patients through education. We regularly post blogs and provide a video education platform dedicated to patients with digestive health problems.
