Endoscopic removal of polyps
Polyps in the stomach or bowel can be removed via the endoscope (narrow flexible tube) depending on their size and location. The doctor can use a variety of techniques and instruments to achieve that safely and accurately. Certain types of polyps (not all) have the potential to develop into a cancer if left untreated, therefore a removal is recommended.
